This notice is for professionals whose business contact details Leadpoet has shared with one of its customers. It explains what we hold, where it came from, why we use it and how you can opt out.

What we do

Leadpoet helps companies find businesses that are likely to need what they offer. When a business matches what one of our customers is looking for, we share the business contact details of relevant people there with that customer, who may contact them about products relevant to their work.

What we hold and where it came from

Your name, job title, company, business email address, business phone number where available, location, public professional profile and information about your company.

We obtain it from publicly available sources, such as company websites and public professional profiles, and from business data and enrichment providers we contract with. If you ask, we will tell you what we know about where your information came from.

Why we may use it

We rely on legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): ours in running a business-to-business data service, and our customers' in finding businesses for their products. We hold business information only, never special categories of data, and you can opt out at any time.

Who receives it

Our customers, which are businesses that may contact you about their products, and the service providers that help us run Leadpoet, listed in our sub-processor list. Leadpoet is based in the United States and stores this data there.

How long we keep it

Leadpoet doesn't keep a central database of people that customers search. Your details are held in the account of the customer we shared them with, who keeps them under its own privacy policy. If that customer leaves Leadpoet, we delete them within 90 days. Leadpoet's own records about you, such as the record that we sent you this notice, are kept for up to 5 years. If you opt out, we stop all outreach to you through Leadpoet at once and, within 30 days, remove the details Leadpoet supplied from every customer's account. We keep only your email address on our suppression list so you're never added again.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. You can object to its use for direct marketing at any time. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
