    HubSpot integration

Send verified Leadpoet leads to HubSpot

Connect Leadpoet with OAuth, choose how results are synced, and send new Leadpoet-generated leads to HubSpot safely.

    What it does

Keep new opportunities in your CRM

The Marketplace connection automatically queues newly delivered Leadpoet-generated leads for HubSpot. Leadpoet checks the email before it creates a contact. Manually entered and imported leads are not sent automatically. You can optionally match or create a company, create a Leadpoet-managed deal, and read outcomes for Leadpoet-linked records.

    Existing HubSpot data stays intact

Leadpoet does not update, overwrite, merge, archive, reassign, or delete your existing HubSpot records. Disconnecting starts token revocation. After Leadpoet confirms it, new scheduled work stops. Records already in HubSpot stay in place.

    Before you connect

    • A Leadpoet account with permission to manage workspace integrations. Ordinary team members cannot connect or change the workspace CRM.
    • A US-hosted HubSpot account. Sign in as a HubSpot super admin, or a user with Marketplace access and all permissions requested for the selected features.
    • A desktop browser for Leadpoet workspace settings. Allow the sign-in window and cookies needed to finish OAuth.
    • Lead research uses your plan credits. See current Leadpoet pricing. Optional HubSpot features depend on the permissions and capabilities available in your HubSpot account.

    Setup

Connect HubSpot in a few steps

    1. Start the install

Select Install on the Leadpoet listing in HubSpot Marketplace. You can also start from Account → Integrations in Leadpoet.
    2. Sign in to Leadpoet

Sign in or create a Leadpoet account when HubSpot opens the partner sign-in window. Leadpoet returns you to the same HubSpot install after authentication.
    3. Approve the OAuth request

Choose the HubSpot portal, review the required and optional permissions, and approve the request. When HubSpot returns to the app review screen, review the requirements, select the confirmation checkbox, and select Connect app. A contact-only connection remains usable if your account cannot grant an optional scope.
    4. Finish the initial connection

HubSpot returns you to HubSpot after approval. The first Marketplace connection starts in Push only and contact-only mode. HubSpot may grant optional permissions during installation, but Leadpoet leaves optional company and deal features off until you enable them.
    5. Choose your Leadpoet settings

In Leadpoet, open Account, choose Integrations, and open HubSpot. To read outcomes, select Change beside Sync mode, choose Leadpoet CRM Sync, and select Reconnect HubSpot. If an optional permission was declined, reconnect before you enable the related owner, company, or deal feature.
    6. Run one controlled test

Confirm that HubSpot shows Connected in Leadpoet. Deliver one newly researched lead that you intend to export, then check its sync status and the new contact in HubSpot. An email already in HubSpot is skipped rather than updated. Use separate test accounts for a synthetic-data rehearsal; do not change customer records to test.

    Configure

Enable only the workflows you need

    Outcome sync

Use Change beside Sync mode, choose Leadpoet CRM Sync, and reconnect. Leadpoet then reads outcomes only for records linked to Leadpoet.

    Owner and company

Select a default owner for new contacts. Company mode checks an exact domain to avoid duplicate companies. A customer-owned company stays read-only: Leadpoet does not attach contacts to it. New associations are allowed only between records Leadpoet created. If a needed permission is unavailable, reconnect to grant it before enabling the feature.

    Deal creation

Turn on deal creation, select a pipeline and an open initial stage, and save. Leadpoet creates at most one managed deal for each eligible company opportunity.

    Permissions

    The access Leadpoet requests

The required permissions support contact delivery and Leadpoet-owned contact properties. Optional permissions support owner selection and company creation. Company reads and deal scopes are conditional: a later reconnect requests them only when you select a mode that needs them.

    Required

    • oauth
    • crm.objects.contacts.read
    • crm.objects.contacts.write
    • crm.schemas.contacts.write

    Optional

    • crm.objects.owners.read
    • crm.objects.companies.write

    Required for selected features

    • crm.objects.companies.read
    • crm.objects.deals.read
    • crm.objects.deals.write

Leadpoet currently supports HubSpot portals hosted in the United States only. A portal in another HubSpot region is rejected during installation before CRM data is pulled. This compatibility limit is not a promise that all service processing stays in one country; see the Privacy Policy for processing locations.

    What data moves

    Contacts
Leadpoet reads the email needed for duplicate checks and creates new contacts from Leadpoet leads. Available fields include name, email, phone, job title, and Leadpoet Intent Details. The intent property is created if absent and populated only on new contacts. Existing contacts are skipped.
    Companies and deals
When enabled, Leadpoet reads exact company domains, deal pipelines, stages, and linked outcomes. Company and deal creation are opt-in. Leadpoet does not change existing properties or attach records to a customer-owned company.
    Owners and outcomes
Owner names and IDs populate the optional assignment picker. CRM Sync reads outcomes for Leadpoet-linked records into your workspace. The initial Marketplace connection is Push only; outcome sync requires a separate mode change and the necessary permission.

New eligible lead delivery is queued automatically. Background processing and HubSpot rate limits can delay delivery; check the connection and lead sync status before retrying. Disconnecting does not erase retained service or audit data. See the Privacy Policy for retention and access requests.

    Troubleshooting

You cannot connect or change settings
Ask a Leadpoet workspace owner or admin to connect. In HubSpot, use an account with the required app-install permissions.
Sign-in expires or returns an invalid-link error
Start again from the Marketplace or Leadpoet. Do not reuse an old OAuth callback URL. Allow the sign-in window and required cookies.
    A permission is missing
Reconnect from the affected setting and approve the scopes required for that feature. Declining an optional scope does not disable contact-only export.
A lead is skipped or a company is not linked
An existing contact email is skipped. A matched customer-owned company remains read-only. Missing identity fields, ambiguous matches, and uncertain prior creates fail safely rather than creating a duplicate.
    The connection needs attention
Check the visible error and reconnect if access was revoked. Finish an in-progress disconnect before reconnecting. Contact support if delivery remains pending or failed; do not repeatedly export the same lead.

    Disconnect

    Stop the connection safely

Open Account → Integrations → HubSpot, select Disconnect HubSpot, and confirm. Leadpoet starts token revocation through the integration workflow. After it confirms revocation, new scheduled work stops. Existing HubSpot records remain unchanged.

    Uninstall

    Remove access in HubSpot

In HubSpot, open Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps. Open Leadpoet, choose Actions, and choose Uninstall. HubSpot revokes the refresh token. An access token issued before uninstall may remain usable until it expires. Leadpoet stops new scheduled work and shows reconnect required after a confirmed token check. Records already created in HubSpot remain in HubSpot.

    Support

    Need help?

Email hello@leadpoet.com. Include your Leadpoet account email, HubSpot portal ID, time of the failed action, and any visible error reference. Do not send OAuth tokens, client secrets, or raw CRM exports.

Leadpoet keeps limited connection, consent, audit, and synchronized service data as described in the Privacy Policy. Contact support to request access, export, correction, or deletion.
